Title: Defensive Shotgun
NRC, Bay 12
Pre-Registration Required
Description: Defensive Shotgun
NRC, Bay 12BPre-Registration Required

Defensive Shotgun is a Level 1 Class. The prerequisite:
Pass proficiency in ARPC’s Basic Handgun Class, AR Fundamentals or Pass ARPC’s Safety & Basic Skill Evaluation (Please see the Calendar for dates)
Defensive shotgun focuses on using the shotgun for home defense which is very different from clay games or hunting. The prerequisite for this class is a basic ARPC class such as AR Fundamentals or Basic pistol to establish firearms safety and range basics. This class is good for new shotgun shooters and established shooters who want to brush up and practice their skills.
Students will bring their own shotgun (12 or 20 gauge, pump or semi-automatic, full shoulderable stock) which will be inspected by the instructor prior to class. Students should also bring ammunition appropriate for their shotgun (10 slugs, 10 buckshot, and 100 birdshot), eye and ear protection, and a way to carry ammunition on their person – such as a nail bag, apron, big pockets, or fannypack.
