NRA Basic Pistol Course:
North Range at the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club. The cost is $30 ($20 if you
are a member of the club or sign up for membership or for additional
family members). This class covers the safe handling and fundamentals
of shooting handguns as well as safe storage and how to choose a
handgun. These topics are covered first in the classroom with lessons,
demonstrations, and practical exercises, then you will have the
opportunity to practice them hands-on with one-on-one help from our
range staff. This class fulfills the training requirements for the
Oregon Concealed Handgun License.
If you own or have access to a handgun, bring it, unloaded, to class
along with 50 rounds of ammunition. If you will not be bringing your
own firearm, please let me know and I'll arrange for one to be available
for you. Also bring eye and ear protection if you have it. Bring your
own lunch. Pre-registration is required. Contact Mark Baur
